My company, EKSL Designs, specializes in papercutting artwork for weddings and special events. I design and cut paper to create beautiful pieces of artwork for holidays, weddings, gifts, or any other occasion.

Scherenschnitte (shear'• en•schnit • tah )

The art of cutting paper into decorations has been practiced by cultures around the world for centuries. From the snowflakes we cut as children, to cut designs using knives and scissors, & the most intricate designs cut by laser, the art of papercutting can be enjoyed by all. Scherenschnitte, pronounced shear'• en•schnit • tah, is the traditional word for "scissors cuttings" in German.

By working closely with each customer, I create custom papercutting prints that are tailored to suit her or his tastes and needs. I create one piece at a time, making each of my creations an original piece of art.

How It All Started
Ever since I was a child, I've enjoyed cutting paper. It was inexpensive, easy to manipulate, and came in many colors. After my sister asked if I could do some papercutting for her, my passion for this form of art took off. In 2004, I opened EKSL Designs to offer my creations to the public.
